Up the local mountain on the Predigtstuhlbahn
A ride you won’t forget: since 1928, the Predigtstuhlbahn has carried guests from Bad Reichenhall up the Predigtstuhl. It is considered the world’s oldest large-cabin cable car preserved in its original state and is a listed monument – wood, brass and nostalgia included.
At the top you can enjoy sweeping views over the Berchtesgadener Land, scenic walking and hiking trails and a break on the sun terrace. Experienced hikers continue to the Karkopf, the highest point of the Lattengebirge.
Our tip: go up in the late morning, have lunch at the top and return in the afternoon for the sauna at SOLE & STILLE. Please check the cable car’s current operating times in advance – we are happy to help.
